Oops, First Let Me Watch a Movie!

Hi guys!
Here I am again with a new post. As you know, a new post means a new project. For this project we made a review with my friend Esra Seferinoğlu about a film named Stoker on Wiki. Wiki gives us opportunity to work collaboratively with other people. Thanks to this useful website, Esra and me worked together for our review to give you some information about this film. All we did is like briefing the film without mentioning what happens in the end of it. Actually, we did not have any difficulties. On the contrary, it was entertaining cause watching movies is such a good thing that you can both have fun and generally learn interesting something while doing. I think activities like this work on teaching students to collabrate with each other and use technology. Through Wiki, students will be better with technology and more eager to share their knowledge with others. Also, it enables the students to make choices actively about how to generate, obtain, manipulate, or display information. I mean that teachers can make students use Wiki in classroom.

Reading film reviews is the thing that all people do. Cause there are times when we're bored and think there's nothing to do. You wanna watch any movie but have no idea which film you'll watch and in that time reviews work a treat on finding what you're looking for.

We're Ready to Sing!

Hi guys! Here I am with my first project. The project is Podcasting. This week, me and my friend Esra Seferinoğlu wrote a song about Cinderella. There are two characters,Cinderella and Fairy.The song was written by changing dialogues between them.This song is more suitable for young learners. It's better and easier for them to learn a language in such a funny way. To be honest,we had some difficulties while we were recording our song. As you know,singing is not that easy.You have to sing again from the very beginning if you make even one little mistake. So there were times when we had to rerecord the song. Also, you should make the lyrics fit into the melody. Or the song will be completely nonsense. This was not so easy for us because we had several melodies and we're so indecisive about which melody could fit more with the lyrics. You have to adjust your voice to the song properly and you have to give the emotions of the song to your listeners(even if your audiciences are kids). I think teachers can use this song in their classes. With this song,students will learn more while they're having fun. Through such didactic activities, the students will take pleasure in learning a language. In our recording, Cinderella sings a chant about her sadness upon not going to the ball held in the palace and The Fairy suddenly appears, consoles Cinderella and you will also hear what it says in a chant. A ball was to held at the palace and while everyone was getting ready to go Cinderella, dressed in old rags, didn’t even dare ask if she also could go. She knew very well whatever stepsisters’ answer would be. The cat murmured and Cinderella sighed ‘’Oh dear, I’m so unhappy’’. Suddenly something amazing happened. There was a burst of light and a fairy appeared.

Cinderella:

I’m staying at home to scrub these dirty floors

Wash the dishes and turn down dirty beds

While my sisters are going to the ball

I’m staying at home for cleaning up the hole

Fairy:

Don’t be sorry pretty little girl

Get me a pumpkin bring me seven mice

Do not forget that dear Cinderella

The mice you’ll bring should be alive

Cinderella:

I was  dressed in rags and wearing torn clogs

Want to throw my old and dirty clothes

Thanks a billion you beautiful fairy

I just dont believe in this nice surprise                       

Fairy:

Please tell the prince that he would marry you

And be at home before the descent of the sun

Even your cat smiled and said:miaow
Your pretty face will be such a lovely gun
